Fire Risk Assessments

Do I need a Fire Risk Assessment?

As an owner, landlord or occupier of a business or other non-domestic premises, you are legally responsible for fire safety.  The Responsible person is expected to take reasonable care in creating a fire safe workplace or space; in order to do this you need to have a fire risk assessment in place. The assessment needs to be carried out by a trained Assessor. This is where we come in, we can provide you with the legal requirements to ensure that you have a fully compliant fire safe workplace or premises.

What will happen if I don't have a Risk Assessment?

If you choose to forego a Risk Assessment you could be overlooking potential Fire Safety Risks that may not be properly managed as a result. If a fire breaks out and no Risk Assessment has been carried out, those responsible for the workplace or premises could face a fine or in more serious cases, imprisonment. It is vital that your premises is properly assessed for any Fire Risks to protect yourself and your employees and any potential visitors.
